About Zen Massage

Partner with us!

Take it from us: Nothing is quite as fulfilling and rewarding as having your own business and seeing it grow. But the challenges and uncertainties of starting one can be pretty scary. ZEN is a successful, service-driven company which has been growing since 2006. We know what it takes to get here and we can help you to do the same!

The spa industry is famous for high employee turn-over, and nowhere is this more true than massage therapy. Working long hours for a low wage, being under constant supervision, dealing with difficult clients, and having little opportunity to grow or advance your career is what awaits most therapists in the corporate industry of massage. The few fortunate enough to establish their own practice early in their carreer and see it grow and thrive are the ones who will still be doing massage 2 years from now.

Work on our clientelle while building your own!

  • We help you get established as an independent provider.

  • We offer luxurious, safe and well equipped studios to work in.

  • Work under your own business name. Set your own prices, rates, specials and schedule.

  • Have access to our top-of-the-line office tools and booking system.

  • Get client referrals directly from Zen to start earning immediately!

The biggest fear of starting your own business is the uncertainty of steady client traffic. The effort of advertising, and establishing clientelle is enough to put your dreams on hold until you can cover the startup costs. We can help!

Zen Massage has a great industry presense, strong marketing and advertising vectors, a quality brand and a huge and loyal customer base. There are plenty of independent therapists who would love to get their hands on our clients, but as a partner, if you have the skills and provide quality and value, you will, literally, get your hands on our amazing clientelle. We refer them to you, and the happier our customers, the more of them you will have the option to massage!

And as you work on our clients, you will also be establishing your independent practice with much less risk and worry than going at it alone.

Why don't you just hire me?

We've been obsessed with massage since 2006. We've seen many great therapists come and go. Many lose interest; for others, life gets in the way; and some just burn out. There is one constant for the therapists who succeed and thrive: They have a genuine stake in what they do. They are willing to commit, to risk, and to wait for the rewards. These therapists have passion, they believe in themselves, have high standards, and are professional and reliable. They crave the freedom to practice without oppressive corporate policy or meddlesome management. They are naturally independent because they are confident, intelligent and ambitious.

Those are the people we want to work with. Those are the therapists our prestigeous and priceless clients want and deserve. These therapists have a true future in the industry and they are the ones who will soar above the corporate grind and find true fulfillment in what they do; they will find their ZEN.

If you are or want to be among them, we are kindred spirits.

RSVP is the Weapon Of Choice:

  • R: Risk. The willingess to bet on yourself.

  • S: Struggle. The dedication to work hard and not give up.

  • V: Victory. Achieving your goals and setting bigger ones.

  • P: Prosperity. Being in harmony with what you do and getting true joy from doing it. (ZEN)

Am I a fit for ZEN?

What we look for in a partner is professionalism, reliability, wisdom, compassion, and a strong commitment to the mastery of massage. You make people feel better for a living. You are professional feel-betterers. Does it lift your spirit when you take another's pain away? Do you look forward to seeing your clients again and again? Would you be willing to come in and work on someone when they are hurting, even when you're closed? Do you still enjoy what you do and want to improve and share it with the world?

If you honestly answered yes to all of the above, not only are YOU a good fit for ZEN, but you won't find a place that is better for you to practice and thrive.

If you are a therapist ready to take on the world and want to do it with us, please let us know.

Four Rules for Telling an Effective Video Story

Video content is a crucial part of your brand’s strategy. In addition to the search benefits (YouTube is the world’s #2 search engine), the medium offers a powerful way to tell your story and drive action.

To ensure your video content sticks in prospects’ minds and drives action, follow these four key rules.

Our software. Your success. Enjoy the results of integreated social, searc, email, and publicity.

1

Make It Emotional

People engage most with video stories that connect emotionally. For example, Dove has garnered upwards of 54 million views on YouTube with its now-famous “Real Beauty Sketches” - a great example of a brand story with a valid emotional angle.

Need to showcase a feature-heavy product? You can still create a video that delights.

2

Kid-Proof Your Message

Your script should be simple and clear enough for a six-year-old to understand. Play to video’s strength and rely on visuals – not fancy words – to get your point across. For product videos especially, use simple, short voiceover whenever possible.

3

Instruct Action

Effective videos incite the viewer to take action. Your video should include a single, clear call to action. Invite viewers to do one thing – it could be sharing via email, tweeting, posting to Facebook or visiting your website. Clear action should be the overarching goal of your video content. Viewbix lets you add interactive apps to your videos that engage viewers and drive calls to action.

4

Pick Something and Stick With It

Pick one message and stick with it. When script revisions and edits pass through the hands of multiple stakeholders, you face the danger of additional “bonus” messaging appearing. Don’t let this happen. Watered down, rambling messages are a video killer.

Telling great stories over video really boils down to simplicity and authenticity. Maintain a clear goal of delivering content that entertains and helps, and keep your message and calls to action straightforward.

Circular Elements in Website Design – Best Practice- By Design MODO

Nataly Birch  •  DesignInspiration  •  April 14, 2013  •  3 Comments

Despite of being one of the basic geometric shapes, circle is not such a frequent guest in website design; of course, I do not consider social media icons. There are a lot of reasons why designers resort to commonly used elements of polyhedral shape such as squares or rectangles. Whether it depends on grid structure and form of a web page that historically has right angles; whether long-term rejection of round form was caused by difficulties of its realization, remember that time, before CSS3 appearance, when designers had to create circular elements by means of graphics editors and only then upload them on website thereby overloading a server by images.

Moreover, use of circles can be tricky since they don’t always harmoniously go well with a whole website style. The only thing can be said for sure is that if they are properly implemented they will definitely grab users’ attention.

Implementation of Circles in Web Design

There are two main ways of profitably using circles in website design. First method involves inclusion of a circle as a main shape for elements that should be traced throughout a whole design. In this case majority of website essential elements such as logotype, navigation items, pop-up windows, sliders, images and other take after circle. The second one, vice versa, precludes the repeating inclusion of circular elements and relies only on a single appearance of this type of form, thereby drawing attention by its uniqueness. Regardless of what technique you will choose you should remember about readability, usability and harmony.

Meantime take a look at our fresh collection of websites that were able to make excellent use of circular elements in their designs.

Rendez Vous is a modern restaurant website design that by means of circles primarily highlights 3 main points such as welcome message, location and social media.

Zervice is based on parallax effect displaying navigation items along with all content in circular blocks.

CVUT fascinates users with its well-thought and appealing chalk-based design. All main menu items, facebook icon, controller icon and image frames are made in circular form.

CVUT

Like there is no tomorrow reveals all information blocks in a trio of flat colorful discs.

Ousback goes for unique style for creating video player that has a round shape and grayscale mode.

Wooddecker opts to use circles not only for familiarizing users with motto, but also for attracting them to logotype and pictogram-based navigation system.

Fabrizio del Gaudio uses disks elements that are traced throughout the whole design and are manifested not only as an image shape, but also as a graphical decoration.

Fabrizio del Gaudio

Das Pinke Zimmer is a contemporary e-store with round tooltips that include information about goods.

Das Pinke Zimmer

Ripcord Graphics communicates their working process through set of brown circles that are supplemented by simple monochromatic icons.

Five Tailors

Soap Media provides potential customers with main services using hand-drawn irregular grey circles with bright pink icons.

Soap Media

Wildlife breaks the diverseness and complexity of photo background by radiant blue circular logo that looks absolutely neat and sophisticated.

Wildlife

Sergio Pedercini makes a use of a common method for showing skills levels. Each ability gets its own size and color.

Sergio Pedercini

Andefined also resorts to a standard method of showcasing previously done projects. Each work is represented in a circular form which increases in size when a cursor rolls over.

Andefined

Duotones has a beautiful grungy feel with a bunch of stamp-like adornment elements, including neat circular frames that can be seen as an image decorations and process steps visualization.

Duotones

London Calling uses translucent pink discs as a map pins that are equipped with titles.

London Calling

We love code is another good example of using circular images in order to demonstrate portfolio works.

We love code

Ideematic represents service section as a set of vibrant illustrated images that are enclosed in circles. Moreover, pictures of the agency members are also made in a form of a ring.

Ideematic

Reflection

More often due to an inherent smoothness circles do not always fit into design, especially, when it comes to creating something rough, mundane, gnarly or with clear grid. Although, round shape is able to add a note of elegance and queerness, also it’s one of the easiest ways of engaging people and focusing them on selected items. Whether circles are part of a design or just illustrated graphics that are used as a decorative element, properly made they can cause a significant positive effect.

So, it’s your time. Tell us what do you think about use of circles in website design? Do you think circular elements are highly unappreciated in our time? Or you find rectangular shape a lot easier and more versatile in utilizing? What basic shapes do you prefer to use on your web designs?

Reverse Mortgage Utah - Find Answers for Homes for Seniors.

IS YOUR EQUITY SAFE? Hi I’m Mark Hammond, president of Legend Financial Services. Do you think your home equity is safe? What about your parents’ home equity? Do your parents take pride in the fact that their home is paid off and that they will leave you a nice legacy? What if that were not true? What if by the time they pass away there won’t be much left at all? If that is true you might plan differently before it’s too late. The economic crash in 2008 is a wakeup call to a lot of things going on in the world right under our noses that most people are still unaware of. A bubble burst in the real estate market that was a long time coming. Our economy in the United States has become largely based on inflating real estate prices and little else. In the 50s, after World War II we had a large manufacturing base and lots of jobs. America rose to be a super power because most of the other developed nations were destroyed from the war. We prospered because we had a strong manufacturing base and little or no competition abroad. We also had laws and taxes on businesses that created large revenues and made America a great place to live with good education and social services. Our workers were protected and given stable jobs with great benefits. Since the early 80s, however, corporations have pressured the US government for more and more tax breaks, which has hurt the American way of life. It didn’t “trickle down” like Reagan said it would. In the 90s Clinton signed the North American Free Trade agreement, NAFTA. This and other legislation made it more profitable for corporations to move their manufacturing jobs out of America. So gradually we’ve been losing ground as an economic power in the world. But, what made this appear insignificant to most Americans was that real estate appreciation was fueling the economy. In the early 90s, banks and lenders figured out ways to make a lot of money by packaging mortgage loans into securities to be sold on Wall Street. I started working in the mortgage business right when this began and I watched as Wall Street investors paid more and more and more every year for pools of these loans, while all the along relaxing the lending guidelines steadily in order to allow more and more people to buy and refinance homes to keep the money rolling in. Our economy shifted more to services focused on housing and construction and there were many jobs available in that industry because houses kept appreciating. This appreciation created more spending and more jobs. And people borrowed money on credit cards only to then pay it off with a home equity loan. And that’s what America did, they lived beyond their incomes for the most part and borrowed the rest. It was an irresponsible financial strategy that can be blamed on both Wall Street and Main street. But eventually the weakness in the rest of the economy took its toll and people who were overburdened with debt began to default on their loans. And when that happened the house of cards we lived in began to fall down. Huge amounts of people in America rely on the real estate industry for their livelihood, and so much of what you’re hearing out there about the market is trying to reassure you that this is just a cycle and things will come back. “Everything will be ok and things will turn around again.” From Wall Street to Main Street, everyone is desperately hoping this is true. Well I’m here to tell you that it is a lie. The real estate market will not rebound for a very long time, and Utah, where our offices are located, is always following well behind the trends, so we have a lot of depreciation still ahead. You can expect your home equity to drop steadily for many years and I’ll give you 3 powerful reasons why: Financing has been severely restricted and will get stricter. Lenders and investors have recently learned from the school of hard knocks that people must have more “skin in the game” (bigger down payments) or they will stop paying if times get tough. Increased down payments and increased credit and income standards result in less people being able to buy and this causes prices of homes to drop. In other countries, getting a mortgage is far more difficult than it is in America and much higher down payments are required and fixed rates are rare. Since our lending system has failed in its ability to evaluate risk correctly, you’ll see lending get even more strict. Even at the severely restricted levels of risk that lenders are taking now, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are still very close to folding. Ease of financing is a huge determinant of home values. There is a subdivision in Utah of mountain property that is close to Salt Lake and would have much higher property values except the county never approved the subdivision and you can’t hold legal title to your lot, but instead you own an undivided interest in the resort. Because of this lenders won’t lend on the property and so the land is very cheap and not very many cabins get built cause people can’t borrow money to do it. As it gets tougher to get financing, real estate values will drop more and more. You should face the reality that the US government is no different from the person that is losing their home to foreclosure. The US is strapped with debt and is in the process losing its power grip on the world. The ease of financing in this country is largely due to federally insured mortgage programs which insure the lenders from loss so they can offer low-down-payment loans. As the US weakens, these guarantees will mean less to investors and our lending programs will start to resemble the rest of the world. Incomes are dropping in America, which causes demand for our high-priced real estate to drop too. So the equity in your home and in your parent’s home is dwindling away. Like the majority of its citizens, America is drowning in debt. We’ve allowed corporations to push us around with our tax and trade policies and we’ve lost the foothold we once had in the global economy. Corporations and the super wealthy are in charge and they have no allegiance to America or our workers. They’re skirting around their tax obligations and causing our schools and public services to fall apart. Profit is their only concern and we demand too high of a wage and too high of a lifestyle and that cuts into their profits. So they’ve cast us aside and our way of life is in serious jeopardy. Without rising real estate values, there’s not much to our economy. A large number of us depend on the building industry for our jobs. When real estate continues to drop in value, you’ll see the building industry shrink even more than it already has. How many people do you know that still work in building or some industry that supports building? It’s the biggest industry we have in America. Why is real estate so much cheaper in other countries? Cause people make less money, which is what is happening here. All the more reason to expect your home equity to shrink. Here’s the scariest one of all! Recent studies show that up to 15% of homes in America are VACANT! 15%!!! A large number of them are owned by banks, taken back in foreclosures. What’s even more scary is that 60-70% of those bank-owned properties aren’t even for sale! What does that mean? Why aren’t the banks trying to sell them? Because the banks are trying to protect the value of their collateral and if they dropped all those houses onto the market, the real estate market would tank. It’s supply and demand. Too much supply will cause prices to fall. So our real estate market right now is a façade, it’s fake. The prices aren’t real. The banks are doing a high wire act to keep it from completely falling apart. So we have huge problems with both sides of the supply and demand equation. Restricted financing and lower wages bringing down demand, and a glut of homes still to be introduced to the market increasing supply is a very destructive combination to bring down home values. Oh I know that population is growing, but that doesn’t matter if there are no jobs and no access to financing. Africa has a some big populations too, and how’s their real estate market So let me ask you a question. Is your parents’ house paid off? Are you expecting to inherit that home at some point in the future? I’m sure you’d like that inheritance to be as large as possible and I’m sure your parents want the same thing. Banks and the mainstream news media don’t want you to see the writing on the wall. The truth is, your parent’s ability to support themselves in the future and the legacy they leave you can be drastically better or worse depending on how you plan NOW. At Legend Financial Services, we see the writing on the wall and have organized a group of key strategies to help make it possible for your parents to not outlive their money. And instead of gradually losing your legacy, we can help you to inherit up to 2-3 times what you would have inherited by sitting still. Understanding what’s to come is just the first step. The next step is doing something about it. It’s up to you to talk to your parents and help them understand what’s at stake if they do nothing. Give yourself the knowledge that can save you from financial ruin. Don’t go down with the ship. 5 Steps to Buying a House in Utah

5 Steps to Buying a House in Utah
5 steps to Buying a House in Utah There are 5 steps to buying a home today without stress and worries.
First, make the decision that you want to own a home. Whether it be that you are tired of renting and want to paint your home without someone’s permission, or if first time home buyer and want to take advantage of the low prices and rates. Decide that this is what you want to do and do it.
Second, look at your finances and determine what you can afford to pay each month for a mortgage. Then go to a mortgage professional and do a full pre-qualification. This includes pulling your credit. This may sound painful, but it is important to see how your credit is doing and what needs to be fixed. Even if you are considering buying months from now, have your credit checked now. That way, if there is a problem then there is time to fix it. Understand, that you are trusting the lender to help you get a loan, so make sure they close loans on a regular basis and have plenty of experience. This may not be the time to ask cousin Joe if he still does loans.
Third, understand the process of buying a home. What is a short sale, what is a HUD home, what are foreclosures. This includes getting a copy of the real estate contract we use to purchase homes and reading it. It is a very powerful contract for buyers and allows you to cancel for three different reasons.
Fourth, start looking at homes available and have a professional that represents you show you the homes (there is no cost for this). Often people start with this step and then worry about financing or the process. But believe me it is worth waiting to get your ducks in a row. Finally, inspect the home for any major errors or defect. There is no perfect house, but you definitely want to know if there are any major issues. Once this is done, then review the loan and final steps with your loan officer and real estate agent. After an appraisal and final underwriting, you last stop is to sign the final loan papers and the house is yours.
